Rodolfo Macanas Micua

Rodolfo Macanas Micua, 86 years of age, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026.   Rodolfo was born in the Philippines on October 10, 1939 to Tomas and Regina Micua.   He is predeceased by his parents:   Tomas and Regina Micua, his siblings:  Fortunata Morta (+), Victoria Maala (+),

Rodolfo is survived by his loving wife of many years, Emerenciana.   He leaves behind his children and their spouses Ana Salome M. Buccat (Epefanio Buccat), Isidrito V. Micua (Lorna M. Micua), Henry V. Micua (Jennifer J. Micua).      Grandchildren:  Roceph Brian Micua, Cedric Loi Micua, Liam Bryce Micua, Hana Patrishia Buccat, Stefany Isabel Buccat.     Also left to mourn his memory is his sibling: Dionisio Micua

Rudy was born in Bangar, La Union as the eldest child in the family whose parents were farmers. Growing up poor, he learned to be frugal, hardworking, patient and disciplined. 

He graduated as salutatorian in high school and retired as an electrical engineer in the biggest electric company in the Philippines. He was married to Emerenciana in 1970. They were blessed with three beautiful children and five grandchildren.   He liked reading the Bible, newspaper and historical books as well as, watching news, war movies and boxing. He was also fond of playing chess for several hours with relatives.  He was generous and helpful to his family and relatives. He taught his children that God will shower them with more blessings if they share theirs to those who are less fortunate. He instilled discipline and hard work in his children’s minds, frequently telling them that work comes first before pleasure.   Though he passed this world, his love and memories will always be cherished by his family, relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday, February 23, 2026 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Unity Funeral Home Chapel, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, Tx   77072.    Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, February 24, 2026 from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.    Funeral Home will have his body preset at the inside the entrance of the church at 10:30 for a 30 minute viewing prior to mass.    Following mass we will leave in procession to Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery located at 12800 Westheimer @ Dairy Ashford to his final resting place.
