Richard Joseph “RJ” London, 6 years old, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on April 15, 2026, at his home in Houston, Texas, as he passed peacefully from the loving arms of his mother, Ebony.
Born on February 26, 2020, in Houston, Texas, RJ was a bright and beautiful light in the lives of all who knew him. In his six short years, he lived fully and loved deeply. He was known for his love of learning, animals, Michael Jackson, Astros baseball, his incredible artistic talent, and his playful, cheeky sense of humor. RJ had a brilliant mind and a genuine curiosity about the world around him. He had a special way of making people feel truly valued and deeply cared for. His joy and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
RJ is survived by his devoted parents, Richard Spencer London and Ebony London; his loving sister, Quinn London, and baby brother, Noah London; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Valencia (Bates) Kankam of Katy, Texas; and his paternal grandparents, Richard and Adrienne London of Holmdel, New Jersey. He is also survived by his great-grandparents, James and Joyce Spencer; his aunts, Mahogany Kankam, Malachi Kankam, Cassandra Kankam, and Yvonne London; God mother, Whitney Birdsall; a host of great-aunts and uncles; along with many extended cousins.
RJ shared a special bond with close family friends, teammates, and classmates who will forever carry his joy and spirit with them. He was deeply loved by a wide circle of friends and had a remarkable way of making others feel genuinely cared for and appreciated. His friendships brought him great joy, and his kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is now whole, healed, and free from pain, rejoicing in heaven—running, fishing, and playing baseball.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at 10:00 AM at Church At The Cross, 3835 S. Dairy Ashford Rd., Houston, TX 77082. Following service, procession will lead to RJ's final resting place at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 2426 Cullen Blvd. (East side of Cullen Blvd), Pearland, TX 77581.
