Richard Lauer Obituary

Richard "Ricky" Lee Lauer entered this world on November 6,1962. He was the fifth and final child, second son, born to Otto Max Lauer and Mary Elizabeth Lauer. Originally from Ohio, "Who Richard" as he was affectionately known by those who loved him, spent some time in Florida before landing in Houston. He arrived in Texas with his only brother and best friend, Jeffrey Alan Lauer, who preceded him in death. This was a difficult time for our Ricky and the only source of comfort for him was his mother Mary, who left this earth to claim her seat in Heaven in 2010. On October 6, 2013, Ricky was reunited with the two people he loved most in life.

He is survived by his sisters, Linda Gay, Martha Howard, and Becki Lauer, his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Howard and Joe Sanchez and his nieces and nephews, Mary Dorn, Tricia Gay, Aimee Carnes, Angie Birt, Jeremy Carnes, and many other relatives who loved him more than he could ever know. While the family is saddened by the loss, there is joy to be found knowing that "Who Richard" is happy, carefree, and finally filled with peace.

The family would like those who knew Ricky to remember the good times, his caring heart (that he tried so hard not to show), and the moments of shared laughter. These memories surpass all others and will remain forever dear to our hearts.
