Peggy (McNiel) Doss

Peggy Mae Doss died peacefully on Monday, January 8, 2018 at the Grace Care Center, Houston, Texas.  She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, to Dewell and Berlie McNeil, and was the oldest of three children.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Travis O’neal Doss.  She is survived by her son Micheal O’neal Doss, her daughter, Karen Anne Foster and four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many dear friends.  Her artistic talents were revealed late in life and her painting skills garnered her many awards and much recognition in the art community of Houston where she lived the last 64 years of her life.  A memorial will be held at the First Presbyterian Church of Pasadena on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm.  In lieu flowers, donations may be made in Peggy’s name to CAP (Citizens for Animal Protection), 17555 Katy Freeway Houston, Texas 77094, or at their online site, www.cap4pets.org.  Donations can also be made to the American Cancer Society.
