Oscar Rolando Lopez

Oscar Rolando López, de Houston, Texas, falleció el 18 de mayo de 2026. Oscar nació en Honduras el 22 de enero de 1956, hijo de Lucio y Bernardina Mejía. A Oscar le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, Lucio y Bernardina Mejía, y su nieta Andrea.

A Oscar le sobrevive su amada esposa de 44 años, Jenny de López. También le sobreviven sus hijos y nietos: Francisco Borjas y su esposa Yamileth Borjas (sus hijos Jenny Alejandra, Eric y Adrian); Eduardo López y su hija Victoria; Ligia López y su esposo Marvin Lanza (sus hijos Javier, Santiago y Ximena); y Oscar López y su esposa Maria Balderas-López. Asimismo, lamentan su partida los hermanos de Oscar: Neptalí Mejía, Teresa Mejía, Reina Mejía, Wilson Mejía e Iris Mejía.

Oscar amaba el fútbol; sentía una gran pasión por este deporte, especialmente por su equipo favorito: el Club Deportivo Marathón. Disfrutaba inmensamente viendo los partidos, lo cual le brindaba mucha alegría y satisfacción.

Los servicios fúnebres están programados para el sábado 30 de mayo de 2026, de 4:00 p.m. a 9:00 p.m., en la capilla de Unity Funeral Home, ubicada en 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, TX 77072. Oscar Rolando Lopez, of Houston, Texas passed away on May 18, 2026.    Oscar was born in Honduras on January 22, 1956 to Lucio and Bernardina Mejia.   Oscar is predeceased by his parents Lucio and Bernardina Mejia and granddaughter Andrea.

Oscar is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Jenny de Lopez.    Also survived his children and grandchildren:     Francisco Borjas and wife Yamileth Borjas (their children Jenny Alejandra, Eric, and Adrian/    Educardo Lopez and his daughter Victoria/   Ligia Lopez and husband Marvin Lanza (theri children Javier, Santiago, Ximena)  /  Oscar Lopez and wife Maria Balderas-Lopez.     Also left to mourn his memory are Oscar's siblings:   Neptali Mejia, Teresa Mejia, Reina Mejia, Wilson Mejia, Iris Mejia

Oscar loved soccer...he felt a great passion for football, especially for his favorite team, Club Deportivo Marathón. He took immense pleasure in watching the matches, which brought him much joy and satisfaction.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Unity Funeral Home Chapel, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, Tx   77072.
