Nathaniel Jackson Jr. Obituary

2 Timothy 4:7

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race,  I have kept the faith.

On Sunday September 25, 2022, Nathaniel Bernard Jackson Jr. aka. “Duke” received his wings.   Nathaniel was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois until he moved to Orange, Texas and graduated from high school. After his graduation he enlisted in the Armed Forces of The United States where he served as Sergeant. When he retired from the Military, he began a career in Quality Assurance. He spent over 30 years working in the Quality Assurance profession until his retirement. When he retired, he was able to spend more time focused on his hobbies and passion. He was an avid lover of fishing, gardening, building train sets, listening to music and making beaded jewelry. Nathaniel had a wonderful sense of humor; he was always telling jokes and making people laugh. He was humble, kind, patient and respectful. He never passed a stranger without interacting. He was the measure of a good man, husband, father, brother, and uncle.
Nathaniel leaves his beloved wife, of 48 years Carolyn, daughters, Mshonda, Treshonda and bonus daughter Tamara (Isreal). Grandchildren, Jon-Bernard and Olivia. 6 Sisters (Gail, Helen, Jennifer, Michele, Eva, and Cecile) 5 Brothers: Lincoln (Paula), Michael (Melva), Harry (Kim) David, Keith (Shironda). Also, a host of nieces and nephews and many to others who affectionately referred to him as "Uncle Duke. "
