Monique Ndongmo Obituary

Monique Nganganu Ndongmo, 61, passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2024. She
was born on April 23, 1963, in Cameroon to Didas Nganganu and Marie-Louise
Nkenghago. Monique began her education at St. Joseph's Catholic Primary School in
Mamfe Town. Her late brother, Pa Godfrey, later enrolled her in St. Anthony's Catholic
Primary School in Buea Town, where she completed her primary education. She then
attended Queen of the Holy Rosary College in Okoyong, Mamfe, for her secondary
education.
Monique's passion for nursing led her to Regina Pacis College in Tiko, where she
acquired essential skills. She was later hired as a nurse aide at Mount Mary Catholic
Hospital in Buea Town. Eventually, she moved to Muna Clinic in Douala, but her health
began to decline. Ultimately, she relocated to the USA to join her daughter.
Having been raised in the Catholic faith, Monique developed a deep devotion to the
Blessed Virgin Mary. She actively participated as a Catholic Women’s Association
(CWA) member until her dedication on December 8, 2024.
She is survived by her daughter, Delphine Mepewou, her son-in-law, Roger Mepewou,
and her grandchildren, Lionel, Meira, and Roch Mepewou. She is also fondly
remembered by her brother Peter Ndongmo and her sister Pauline Ndongmo.
In the USA, she is remembered by her nieces , Nephew , and their children: Dr. Jude A.
Agendia, Melissa Agendia, with Micah and Abram Agendia; by Jane-Frances Ndemanu,
Kim Keumboh Tangu, Aime Tangu with Ethan Tangu Christian, and Marie-Louise Tangu;
and by Sydole Mbakoup-Fortingo, Robert Fortingo with Kah and Kehmia Fortingo.
Additionally, she is remembered by her sister-in-law, nephews, and nieces: Margaret
N.K Ndongmo, Albert A. Ndongmo, Lilian Ndongmo Ejededawe, Kathleen K. Ndongmo,
Zita-Bernice Ndongmo Tiena, Gideon N. Ndongmo, and Joseph T. Ndongmo. She also
leaves behind her nephews and nieces: Sylvie V. Ndikum, Marie-Louise Ndongmo,
Peggy and Andy Ndongmo, and her sister-in-law turned sister: Lucy N. Ayuk as well as
a host of loving family members and friends in Cameroon and around the world.
Monique is preceded in death by her parents, Aunty Keumbo Catherine, Uncle Martin
Ndongmo, brother Godfrey F. Ndongmo, sister Margaret V. Tangu, and brother-in-law
Charles Agendia Tangu.
May she find rest in the bosom of the Lord and may her legacy live on.

Catholic Mass is scheduled for Saturday, February 1, 2025 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell St., Houston, Tx   77007 at 2:00 PM.   Funeral Home will arrive one hour before at 1:00 PM for a one hour visitation in the church.
