Mary Rosalie Palmisano Lovetro

Mary Rosalie Palmisano Lovetro entered eternal rest on Sunday, February 1, 2026. She was 81 years old. Rosalie was the devoted wife of Charles Vincent Lovetro, Jr., for the past 62 years.

She was the beloved mother of Troy Vincent Lovetro (Pauline) of Apopka, Florida, Tanya Lovetro Plapp (Tom) of Houston, Texas, Tammi Lovetro Sturm (John) of Sealy, Texas, and Travis John Lovetro (Erika) of Katy, Texas. Her daughter Trisha Lovetro Koch (Greg) of Saint Rose, Louisiana, passed away in 2019. Rosalie was a native of Saint Charles Parish, Louisiana—the third child of Salvatore “Sam” Palmisano and Alice Maye Chiasson Palmisano—and is survived by siblings Alice Palmisano Gruntz (late Alphonse) of Saint Rose, Louisiana, and John Palmisano (Chris) of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. Her younger sister, Sylvia Palmisano Petitfils (Lyle), passed away in 2017. She leaves behind to mourn her passing 14 grandchildren: Katie, Thomas, Tara, Vincent, Johnny, Charlotte, Jacob, Hannah, Samantha, Ariana, Desiree, Caleb, Ethan, and Elena, and 4 great-grandchildren: William, Abigail, Jackson, and Clay. Also survived by a large and loving extended family of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. Beyond the bounds of family, over the years Rosalie opened her heart and home to many who needed a place to stay, a sympathetic ear to listen, or a voice of sage advice, and these members of her adoptive family will always cherish her memory. For more than 5 decades, Rosalie was a devout parishioner of Notre Dame Catholic Church in Houston and will be deeply missed by her community of friends in Christ.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a celebration of life at Notre Dame Catholic Church (7720 Boone Rd, Houston, TX 77072) on Thursday, February 5, 2026, reception to follow. Rosary will begin at 9:30am followed by a memorial mass at 10:30am.

A second mass will take place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (13396 River Rd, Destrehan, LA 70047) at 11:30am followed by inurnment in the church cemetery, reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Rosalie’s name.
