Maria Asuncion (Legaspi) Bautista, of Houston, Texas, passed away at the age of 49, on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at UTMB Hospital. Maria was born on August, 15th, 1966, in Manila, Philippines; she is the Daughter of Serafin and Victoria Legaspi.
Maria was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. She was a selfless woman who touched the lives of those she came across. No matter how tired she was from dialysis or the numerous doctors/hospital visits, Maria enjoyed being around her friends and family. She loved cooking for them and visiting with them.
Despite her illness, Maria would always display a positive and caring attitude. Maria continued to work as a quality Control Specialist for Oil and Gas. Maria volunteered for the church and various organizations throughout her life. She has been a member of Notre Dame Catholic Church since moving from California.
Maria is survived by her husband, Anthony Jose Bautista, Son, David Marcus Bautista, Daughter, Christine Nicole Bautista, Step-Son, Brian A. Bautista, 5 Step-Grandsons, Sister, Elizabeth Legaspi, brother, Michael Legaspi. She is sister of the late Manuel Legaspi and Abraham Legaspi.
She will be missed by all; May her soul rest in peace.
Visitation will be Thursday at Unity Funeral Home, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, Texas 77072 on July 7, 2016 and Friday July 8, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be Saturday July 9, 2016 at Notre Dame Catholic Church at 12:00 P.M.
Interment will follow service at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery
