Leisda Mendoza Obituary

Leisda Ismery Mendoza, 57 years of age, of Houston, Texas passed away on January 23, 2021. Leisda was born in La Union, El Salvador on January 3, 1964 to Filadelfo and Maria Jimenez.

She leaves behind her husband of 36 loving years, Luis Mendoza. Her three children, Paola, Jacob, and Sophia. Other family members include her family in El Salvador, her Mother Maria Guadalupe Ramos-Turcios, and her younger brother Marco, her sisters Lorena, Carolina, and Sandra.

Leisda loved to dance, sew, go the beach, walk in the park.    She loved the summer time, eating seafood, listening to disco music, collected elephant figurines and sun/moon ornaments.
Leisda also enjoyed going to church, to decorate the house during the holidays, and taking photos with her family.     Leisda never hesitated to try new food, or visit new places.   She loved her family here and her family in El Salvador, and often talked about wanting to visit them during the holidays.
She did not like sweets, could not bear the cold, did not like roller coasters and reptiles.    To new people she did not know, Leisda was somewhat shy to those she knew she was friendly, outgoing, and lively to those she considered friends and family.   She will forever be missed.

Visitation will be limited guests, Thurday, February 4, 2021 at Unity Funeral Home, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, Tx 77072 from 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Church Mass will be at Notre Dame Catholic Church Friday, February 5, 2021 at 11:00 AM. The funeral home will arrive for a one hour visitation at 10:00 AM. Mass ends at 12:00 PM. Those desiring to go to the cemetery, please come to Unity Funeral Home, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, Tx 77072 by 2:15 PM...(please do not come before 2:00 PM). At 2:30 PM we will leave in procession to Forest Park Westheimer, Westheimer @ Dairy Ashford for burial.
