Joseph Henry Bannister, Jr.

Joseph Henry Bannister, JR., 78, passed away in Sugar Land, Texas on the morning of Tuesday, September 15, 2015.  He was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on April 26, 1937 to Anna Lipovski and Joseph Henry Bannister, Sr.  He studied and received a degree in mathematics from University of Houston.  Mr. Bannister served as a Harris County Voting Precinct Judge.  He loved a good cigar and was an avid fan of all Houston sports teams.  His other passion was reading a good book.  Mr. Bannister was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Bannister Davis.  He is survived by his wife of nearly 49 years, Catherine Donatico Bannister, children, Jesse Bannister and Barbara Bannister, sister, Jeanne Maurice, 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 2 nephews and numerous other loving family members and friends.  A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 18, 2015 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 7720 Boone Road, Houston, Texas 77072.
