John is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Laura L. Hall and his children John J. Hall Jr. (Novi), Laurie C. Martinez (Antonio), and Marcus A. Hall (Jill). His grandchildren: Cayla, Cameron, Zoe, Noah, Antonio III. His dog Chula, fur grandbabies Astro & Blue. His brothers Roy Hall (Amelia), Richard Tijerina, sisters Christina Lopez (Cris) and Janie Redden , numerous nieces and nephews, special nephew Roy A Hall III (Ashley) whom he loved like his own son.
He attended W.B. Ray High school in Corpus Christi and graduated from H.M. High School in Kingsville, Tx, He moved to Houston in the late 70’s. John held several jobs until he earned his Master Sign Electrician license. John founded “Lighting Systems of Texas” for over 30 years.
He lived life to the fullest…. He wouldn’t have it any other way. He never met a stranger, always an adventure with him . John enjoyed the outdoors, (fishing, hunting, golfing), playing pool, riding his Harley, music, concerts, dancing, traveling, Rodeo (where he met his Chiquita), gambling, baseball, football – BIG Pittsburgh Steelers fan, BBQ, building fires, but most of all his family.
John loved traveling, some of the places he visit were, Bahamas, Denver, Breckenridge, Aspen, Winter Park, Colorado Springs, Keystone, Miami, Key West, Daytona, Ft. Lauderdale, Panama city, Destin, New Orleans, Lake Charles, Montgomery, Al, Nashville, Memphis., St Louis, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Washington, Baltimore, Maryland, Alabama, Oklahoma City, Ruidoso , Las Vegas ( where he married his Chiquita), Tahoe, Reno, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Jose, San Francisco, Fresno, Monterey, Cabo, Cancun, Monterrey Mexico, Costa Rica and all of Texas. He attended many bike rallies, the one he enjoyed the most was Sturgis Rally is South Dakota which he attended with his friend Gilbert Prida in 2004, 2006, 2015 and 2017 and in 2010 with Vince Martinez.
Due to the current pandemic and in accordance with John’s wishes, his family will hold a private celebration of his life. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
