Mr. Jason Christian “Jay” D’Abadie, son of the late Eugene Carroll D’Abadie and Sylvia Ann Judice D’Abadie, was born October 18th, 1973 in Houston, Texas. He attended Westbury & Stafford public schools and was a graduate of Job Corps Training Program. At an early age he was introduced to his faith in Jesus Christ by his mother, Sylvia, with whom he’d frequent church services with growing up.
Jason was blessed with two children whom he doted on often. Being a father and a papaw was his greatest joy in life.
Jay was an active bike rider, camper, music enthusiast, daydreamer, theory researcher, could fix anything he put his hands on, and would give his last to anyone in need. As a result of his free spirit and outgoing personality, he was loved by many. His laugh was contagious and he loved to spread it. His Christian faith was as strong as his heart was and his influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew him. He quietly departed this life Thursday, June 4th around 10:30 pm at a friends home in Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene D’Abadie, mother, Sylvia Judice D’Abadie, brother, Eric D’Abadie, and sister, Sylvia Dewitt.
His beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of his children: Latessa Danielle D’Abadie Young and Rocco James Copeland, both of Houston, TX; one grandchild, Audrina Anne Young; brothers, Doug D’Abadie of Dayton, TX and Jeff D’Abadie of Lake Jackson, TX; Sisters, Theresa D’Abadie of Weslaco, TX, Jeanine D’Abadie Khorrami of Houston, TX, and Sarah D’Abadie of Austin, TX; son-in-law, Aaron Young, brother-in-law, Amir Khorrami; sisters-in-law-in-law, Suzanne D’Abadie and Sharon D’Abadie; devoted family members, Michelle Hammitt and Bethany Boitnott; longtime dear friend, Erin Jeffrey; a host of devoted nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
