James Michael Ransome of Houston, TX, a devoted father, cherished friend, and beloved son, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 53. James found his greatest joy in fatherhood, often expressing that being a dad to his daughter Abby was the greatest privilege of his life.
James had a love for the outdoors, finding joy in the beauty of nature. Whether he was camping beneath the stars or casting his line into the river, lake, or ocean, James was truly in his element. His love for fishing and camping was infectious, and he often shared these passions with his family and friends.
Those who knew James will remember him for his sense of humor and his caring nature. He had a remarkable ability to make others laugh, brightening even the darkest of days with his wit. James had a heart of gold, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His kindness knew no bounds, and his presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew him. Above all else, James was a devoted family man. His love for Abby was unwavering, and he took immense pride in being her father. He was always present at his daughters’ events, whether it be at school, choir, skating or just hanging out for movie night. His love extended to his family and friends, whom he cherished deeply. James leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness that will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
James Michael Ransome is survived by his daughter Abby Ransome, his mother Eileen Towne, his brother Rhueben Towne, a niece, a nephew and cousins. Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will live on in the memories and hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. A celebration of James life will be held on Wednesday May 29, at River Pointe Church Missouri City. Visitation at 11 am, service at 12 pm.
