Gerard James Brignac, Sr., 63, of Houston passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019. He was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on December 12, 1955 to Eva Clophus and Wallace Brignac. He grew up in Beaumont, Texas and finished school there. He worked in transportation as a truck driver. During his leisure time he enjoyed playing the horses and cooking, but his greatest love was spending time with his beloved family. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 35 years, Lynell Whittington Brignac; children, Gerren Whittington Brignac and wife Blanca, Brandon Whittington Brignac both of Houston, Gerard James Brignac, JR., Wallace Charles Brignac both of Beaumont, Texas, Dustyn Sapp of Austin; grandchildren, Brandon Whittington Brignac, JR., Rachel Simiene, Wallace Charles Brignac, JR., Chavon Brignac; great-granddaughter, Eva Simiene; and a host of other loving family members and friends. The viewing will be held at 12:00 PM, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at St. Justin Martyr Catholic Church, 13350 Ashford Point Drive, Houston, Texas 77082, with a Celebration of Mass following at 1:00 PM.
