Francisca (Pacete) Salaria

Francisca Pacete Salaria passed away unexpectedly on December 30, 2020 at the age of 83.  She was born on August 9, 1937 in Bugasong, Antique Philippines.  She was the youngest daughter of 13 children from Perpetuo Pacete and Jovita Arsaga.  She is survived by her daughters, Gemma Tating and Marivic Salaria, her son-in-law Alejandro Tating, grandchildren Ashley Francis and Alex Christian Tating and siblings Luisa Alicante, Rachel Barcelo, Lydia Agustin and Pepe Pacete.

Francisca was a teacher in the Philippines and she moved to Houston in 1982 to help her family back home.  She babysat in America for most of her relatives’ children, family friends and even the next generation of kids.  Francisca also cooked and baked elaborate cakes on the side.  She was a very generous person who would always help any family member in need.  She loved her family unconditionally and was also a second mother to so many people, both in the Philippines and America.  She helped raise so many children, always kept them safe, made sure they had food to eat, clothes on their back and good education.  She was small in stature but had a big, fighting spirit.  She was loved by all.

Funeral and Visitation:  Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 7720 Boone Road, Houston.  Visitation will start at 11:30 am until 12:30 pm; Funeral mass will begin at 12:30 pm.  Francisca will be cremated and interment of ashes will be in Bugasong, Antique.
