Erwing Antonio Urbina

Mr. Erwing Antonio Urbina Robleto, 71 years, of Katy, Texas passed away on November 19, 2017.   Erwing was born in Nicaragua on February 15, 1946, second son to Jose Antonio Urbina and Esmeralda Apolonia Robleto.

Erwing was a writer, poet, and multi business owner in the mercantile and agricultural sector. He attended Colegio Calasanz in Managua, Nicaragua and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He moved to America seeking a better life for his family. He loved to write, give speeches, tell jokes, tell stories of his youth, travel, good food and company, movies - especially western cowboy and action ones, news of the world, music, tv shows, learning about animals, and cultural events. He was passionate about radio/broadcasting, was an avid reader and sportsman. He loved his kids and always advised them to be prepared for anything in life such as one of his favorites sayings, "un hombre preparado vale por dos."

To Erwing, family was everything and he enjoyed being a positive inspiration to others. He leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory:   Wife: Rosa Cordoba       Children:  Vanessa Urbina, Erwing Urbina Jr.  (Sandra),   Marjorie Urbina (Rome),   Raul Urbina (Christina),   Milthon Urbina (Shirley).      He also leaves behind his loving grandchildren:   Emilio-Alexandro, Samantha, Jonathan, Matthew, Sofia, Lucia, Leonardo, Melissa, Drake, Devyn, Rodney, Colbie, Elizabeth, Alexandra, Story, Cloud, Spartacus.

Visitation for Erwing will be held Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Unity Funeral Home Chapel, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, TX 77072.    Funeral Service will be November 29, 2017 at St. Edith Stein Catholic Church, 3311 Fry Rd., Katy, TX 77449 at 11:00 AM; please make plans to arrive by 10:30 AM. Burial will follow at Magnolia Katy Cemetery located at 6801 Franz Rd., Katy, TX 77493
