Donna Draper-Schneider
(We’ll always love and miss you)
Donna was born in Jena, LA February 5th, 1959 as Donna L. Owens. She attended college in Baton Rouge, LA where she received a degree in accounting. In 1988 she moved to Houston, and decided to pursue a career in the medical field. Her good friend Cindy assisted her in becoming a phlebotomist. Donna loved the medical profession. She loved to talk and help people.
Donna also loved the outdoors. She loved the country, but really loved her house on the San Bernard River. She loved to fish, but did not want to hurt them. She also loved boat riding, but especially loved driving our boat.
Most of all she liked to stay home and cook for any guest who would arrive, and always seemed to know what they all liked to eat. Donna also loved to cook for her family on occasions, mostly on holidays. Christmas time was special, as she set up the Christmas tree to perfection, wore her best apron, and brought out her best potholders and cookware to make that special holiday dinner. She always had special extra gifts under the tree for all the little grand children.
When the children were not around, then she would love her pets. Her dog Rocky, her big cat Mac, and her baby kitty Metro were always at her side.
Donna will be deeply missed by her spouse Ronnie, of fourteen years, also her four step daughters: Heather, Tosha, Mandy, and Amy. Donna will be greatly missed by her eight grand children : Amberly, Will, Caleb, Caden, Casen, Baylee, River, and Kathleen Grace, her step son in laws Asad, Nick, and Dusty. Donna also had three sons : Chad, Matthew and Mitchell and one daughter in law, Danielle.
Donna is survived by four brothers and four sisters. Special thanks to her brother Andy, Sister in law Carla, her dear friend Karen and husband Randy for their support and contributions while Donna was in the hospital. Also, special thanks to all of her family members that visited her in the hospital. And thank you all for your prayers, and ones who added us to your prayer list. Donnas courageous battle with cancer ended on January 15, 2014 just 21 days short of her 55th birthday.
Visitation for Donna will be February 1, 2014 from 9am to 10am
Memorial Service will be from 10am to 11am @ Unity Funeral Home, LLC
