David Williams Obituary

It takes a special kind of person to care enough to take the time for others.  It takes the kind of person who, in a quiet and sincere way, will do whatever it takes to help somebody out; someone who knows that giving makes living a pleasure, and that thoughtfulness is the best measure of a person.

Brother David Ernest Williams Sr. was born February 24, 1927, to the late Ernest and Josephine Williams in Clinton, Louisiana. On Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at 4:33 p.m., at his home the death angel visited and he was called from his earthly tabernacle to his heavenly home surrounded by his family.

Brother David Ernest Williams Sr. was united in Holy Matrimony on January 31, 1980 to Betty Williams.  His marriage to his beloved wife spanned thirty-four years.  He was employed with Atlas Steel Wire for 32 years as a shift leader.

Brother David Ernest Williams, Sr., accepted Christ as his personal Savior and was baptized by Bishop Darryl Brister at Beacon Light in New Orleans.  He later joined Perfecting Ministers under the leadership of Reverend Gordon Thomas.  His faithfulness to God and his commitment to his church would be remembered.
