Cristiliene (Williams) Brown

Cristiliene W. Brown (68) born May 3rd, 1949 passed away late in the evening on October 24th, 2017 at Memorial Herman Hospital TMC due to multiple complications.  She was the daughter of Thomas C. “Buster” Williams and Betty Lou Williams. Criss’ mother was taken from her at a young age due to an unfortunate car accident. Buster, grieving and looking for work, sent Criss to live with her grandparents in Illinois. Sometime later Buster married Wanda Skinner. Criss arrived back in Texas into Buster and Wanda’s new home, where she was later blessed with a new baby brother Tommy. They lived in Palestine, TX where she graduated high school.

Criss was first married to David Lynn Floyd of Texas City, TX and had two loving boys David Allan and Jeffrey Lynn. They lived in Texas City until their separation in 1980. She remarried to Robert W. (Bob) Brown Jr. and moved to Houston, TX. They were married 37 years until his passing on August 24th, 2017.

Criss always looked forward to reading, doing crafts, taking trips, and talking on her land line with friends and family. She was a loving and free spirit, a lover of animals, and everything she planted grew like crazy. She loved fast cars and a good book, vacations in exotic places and her family. When she saw something amazing you didn’t just see it in her eyes, but you could almost see it grab her by the soul. She was truly a passionate and beautiful woman.

Criss was a member of the PTA, Boy Scout Den Mom, First aid aficionado, Constructor of macramé, Administrator, Candy basket shop owner, hater of snakes and spiders, Gardener, Stained glass artist, “Cool” mom on the block, Rescuer of Animals, A sister, A daughter, And a mother. Most of all she will be remembered as a witty, loving, caring lady with a ton of attitude.

She was preceded in death by her mother Betty Lou Williams, her Father T.C. ”Buster” Williams, and her husband Robert W. Brown Jr.

She is survived by her step-mother Wanda Williams, brother Tommy (Ruth) Williams, nephew Ian Williams and her two sons David Allan (Nancy) Floyd and Jeffrey Lynn (Tammie) Floyd.  All those who loved her, loved her for her kind heart, witty come backs, beautiful nature, tenacity, and generosity. She will be sorely missed by her family and friends.

We will be saying farewell to Criss during a celebration of life service at Unity Funeral Home at 7730 Boone Road, Houston TX 77072 starting at 10:00 AM on the 2nd of December.
