Charles Nwoke

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Charles Chima Nwoke, a cherished father, grandfather, and friend, who departed this world on December 9, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. Charles was 78 years old.

Born on October 22, 1945, in Isiala Mbano Imo State Nigeria , Charles was the son of the late Uzosike and Elizabeth Nwokenaka. He grew up with a passion for learning and a love for sports, which he carried with him throughout his life. Charles was a devoted father to his children, who were by his side through every moment of his illness.

Charles will always be remembered for his gentle guidance, his infectious laughter, and his kind heart.

Charles battle with cancer was fought with courage and grace. Even in the face of his illness, he remained a pillar of strength and positivity for his family and friends. His resilience and spirit were a testament to the extraordinary person he was.

He is survived by his children, Pierre Nwoke, Charlene Nwoke, Jesse Nwoke, Myra Vorrice, son-in-law, Azionne, and his grandson, Elijah, who was the light of his life. Charles is also remembered by his siblings Benedict Nwokenaka and Cecelia Uwaoma and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

A memorial service to celebrate Charles life will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 11 AM at Unity Funeral Home. The family invites all who knew Charles to join in honoring his memory and sharing stories of his remarkable life.

Charles Chima Nwoke's life was a blessing to all who knew him. His legacy of love, strength, and generosity will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Charles. Your memory will forever be a source of comfort and inspiration. We love you.

Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Unity Funeral Home, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, Tx   77072 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.   Following service, family will gather at Charles' final resting place at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery 12800 Westheimer at Dairy Ashford, Houston, Tx   77077.
