Carmine James Longobardi

Carmine James Longobardi 84, died Thursday, June 19, 2014 at his residence following an illness.

 

He was born January 26, 1930, and served in the United States Army for 2 years in Germany, during the Korean War.  He later transferred with the Shell Oil Company to Houston, Texas in 1970 and retired after 30 years with them to travel and enjoy life.

 

He leaves behind his wife of 45 years Frances (Masina) Longobardi; his sons James, Michael and John; his daughter Margaret; his daughter in laws Theresa and Claudia; 9 grandchildren,  3 great grandchildren; his sisters MaryAnn and Geraldine; sister in law Sadie; brother in laws Charles and Paul; Nieces and Nephews and their families.He also leaves behind great friends and their families.

 

He was predeceased by his Parents James and Rose; Brother Anthony and first wife Grace.

 

He will be laid out on Wednesday, June 25th, at the Unity Funeral Home at 7730 Boone Rd from 4pm to 9pm.  Funeral Services will be on June 26th at Notre Dame Catholic 7720 Boone Rd at 10 am.  Following will be burial at the Veterans Cemetery at 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr.
