Brad Allan Ramirez, 41 years of age, of Houston, Texas passed away peacefully at home with family on
February 8, 2020 in Houston, Texas, after a long battle with a rare brain tumor.

Brad was born on August 31, 1978 in Houston, Texas to Patricia Short.
Brad grew up in Stafford, Alief and Southwest Houston area. He also spent some time in Pennsylvania and Tyler, Texas.
Brad was a very hard worker and spent the majority of his career working as a carpet and upholstery cleaning technician. Later he worked in furniture sales and delivery and lastly he worked as a Tool Maintenance Technician at Oil States Energy, an oilfield services company. He was very smart and utilized all his knowledge and skills and took pride in everything he did. The entire duration of his illness, all he wanted to do was get better to be able to return to work. He enjoyed his job very much.
He was a music lover of all genres. He enjoyed going to concerts with friends and family.
He enjoyed watching all of his hometown teams but loved the Houston Rockets the most. Him, his mother and grandmother all shared the love of the game of basketball, especially for the Rockets.

Brad was preceded in death by his Grandmother Estolia S. Ramirez, his "Dad" David Gumm, and his Great Uncle Benny Sanchez.

Brad is survived by his daughter Alexandria Ramirez, son Jason Ramirez, and step daughter Kyla Skinner. Mother Patricia Short,
Step Father Raymond Short, and brother Tyler Short. His sister Rejenna Lopez and her husband Bobby Lopez, and nieces Alianna, Giana and Ginaia. His Aunts Sylvia & Loretta, Uncle Randy Ramirez and several cousins.

Brad will be extremely missed by his loving family members and friends.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for March 7, 2020 at 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM at Unity Funeral Home Chapel, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, Texas   77072.
