Bella Manulid Siy

Bella Manulid Siy, eldest daughter of Siy Beng and Isabel Manulid, was called home to her heavenly Father on December 5, 2025, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. A beloved sister, aunt, daughter, colleague, and friend, Bella’s generous and devoted spirit brightened and bettered the lives of everyone who got to know her.

Born on October 15, 1954, in Manila, Philippines, Bella was the second of seven siblings. She graduated from Saint Jude College with a degree in nursing. Her industrious spirit and dedication to service took her overseas, and she served as a private nurse in San Francisco, California, before settling in Houston, Texas, to be closer to her family. Unwavering in her faith and dedication to helping others, she continued to bring love and light to her workplaces and was proud to call herself friend to many.

Those who knew Bella well knew that her hands (and her feet!) were never idle. She was fond of cooking, especially for her family and friends. In her eyes, food was a way to bring people together, and she loved to gather her loved ones over a delicious meal. She was also a proper jetsetter, and always had travel stories and photos to share.

Bella’s faith served as her guiding star, providing comfort and inspiration during times of joy and hardship, and she remained steadfast in it throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Siy Beng and Isabel, and her siblings, Arturo and Gloria. She is survived by her siblings Cescar, Danny, Edna, and Felina, and 11 nieces and nephews: Ron, Mark, John, Celine, Christine, Danielle, Kylee, Kirsten, Aaron, Brylle, and Peter. She also leaves behind her grand-nephew Taiyori and grand-niece Piper, as well as many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, Bella’s family welcomes donations made to Notre Dame Catholic Church in her honor.

Visitation will be held at Unity Funeral Home Chapel, Thursday December 11, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.   A funeral mass to honor the life of Bella Siy will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 pm (Funeral Home will arrive at 1:30 for a 30 minute viewing prior to the mass). Her family warmly extends an invitation to friends and colleagues who would like to celebrate her legacy.
