Mrs. Rita the Chocolate Lady
Do you have any chocolate is what we’d hear
every day from the Chocolate Lady.
And looking at her smile when you handed her a piece
it would warm your heart from within.
Then she would do her chair tap dance
as the candy melted in her mouth.
Then you knew it was time for her cup of coffee
as she sang her German song. This was our Mrs. Rita
she was beautiful, kind, soft spoken and full of life.
Then God decided that He needed her smile.
Up High to brighten a little more of the sky
she has gone home to her Milky Way Heaven.
No longer here but never forgotten
Our love is forever with you Mrs. Rita.
