Gerard James Nutting

Gerard James Nutting, 83 years of age, of Houston, Texas passed away in Houston on January 21, 2019.    He was born in Brooklyn, New York on May 1, 1935 to  Henry and Grace Nutting

Gerard is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Grace Nutting, sister Joan Schleinitz and brother Jack Nutting.

After graduating from Manhattan College, he joined the Air Force for which he served for 20 years.

Gerard is survived by his children Colleen O'Connor (Joe), Lisa Nutting, Chris Nutting (Cathy), Pam Nutting (Doug Mackerman), Jack Nutting.      

Also left to mourn his memory are his eleven grandchildren:   Kyle Nutting (Lauren), Chelsea Funari (Zac), Alex Jameson, Elliot Jameson, Victor Nutting, Henrietta Nutting, Max Nutting, Vera Nutting, Dorotea Nutting, Aidan Mackerman, Quinlan Mackerman as well as two great-grandchildren:   James Nutting and Nolan Nutting

He is survived by his sister Maureen O'Donnell.   Also left to mourn his memory are many nieces and nephews in New York, New Jersey, Washington, Arizona, Nebraska.

Visitation is scheduled for Monday, January 28, 2019 at Unity Funeral Home, 7730 Boone Rd., Houston, Texas  77072 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.    Mass is scheduled for Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 7720 Boone Rd, Houston, Texas  77072 at 1:00 PM.     Reception to follow mass in church hall.
