Eric V Amador

ERIC VILLANUEVA AMADOR, 45 years, of Richmond, Texas, passed away on February 3, 2018.    Born in Binondo, Metromanila, Philippines on May 15, 1972 to Efren and Teresa Amador.   He stayed true to his Filipino roots throughout his life.  He migrated to the United States at the age of eight with his mother, and had the opportunity to see and live in a number of places, including Florida, Las Vegas, and New Orleans, and kept fond memories of all of them.   He moved to Texas in 2001 to join family here, and this became his home.

Eric will be remembered first and foremost as a loving man.   He was often a quiet presence, but a man with an inner strength, dependable and generous.   All of those who knew Eric would say he was devoted to his family and friends.

Eric enjoyed life both outside and inside.   His hobbies included fishing, sports (with strong opinions on basketball and football), and games, including poker and video games with his son and daughter.   Eric also liked to drive, and particularly loved road trips with his family.

Eric remained true to his Catholic faith, attending St. Theresa's church in Sugar Land.   He is survived by his loving wife, Ann, and children Eric, Jr. and Erich, as well as by his brother Paul and his aunt Loretta, extended family , and countless friends.

Most of all, Eric enjoyed life and people,   Generous with the time he had, he loved to spend it with his wife, and children.   Eric touched many people who will always remember him as a loving husband and father, and a warm and engaging friend.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Unity Funeral Home, 7730 Boone Road, Houston, Texas   77072.    Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church.
