Caridad Cary (Gonzalez) Kearns

Caridad Cary Kearns, 84 years of age, passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2020.    Caridad was born on November 7, 1935 in Havana, Cuba to Sixto and Esperanza Fernandez Gonzalez.    She precedes in death her parents Sixto and Esperanza Fernandez Gonzalez, her brothers Jose Gonzalez and Sistico Gonzalez and sister Luga Gonzalez.

Caridad is survived by her loving husband of nearly 53 years, Patrick J. Kearns.  Her children: Carmen M. Kearns and Michael P. Kearns of Houston, TX and Laura C. Kearns of Austin, TX.   Her granddaughters:   Solis Sisco-Kearns, Reverie Sisco-Kearns, and Veda Sisco-Kearns of Houston, TX. Nieces: Susie Mann of Huntsville, Al and Hope Greenberg of Merrick, Long Island NY.

Caridad had many hobbies which included sewing, flower arranging, wood working, cooking and baking as well as volunteering.   She was a strong believer in individual initiative and was the consummate mother who always put the interests of her family first.

Services are scheduled for Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Notre Dame Catholic Church, 7720 Boone Rd., Houston, Texas   77072.    Fellowship will follow immediately after mass in the church community center and at 2:00 we will leave in procession to Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery for burial.
