Rudy Amaya Obituary

Rudy William Amaya, 44, of Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Kindred Hospital.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Unity Funeral Home, located at 7730 Boone Road Houston, TX 77072 with Pastors Jesse Diaz and Dalisa Diaz officiating. Doors open at 5:00 p.m. and the service begins at 5:30 p.m. Friends and family are invited to come. Born on December 6, 1979, Rudy William Amaya was the son of Carlos Alonso Amaya and Ana Deysi Amaya. He grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and graduated from MTI College of Business & Technology where he received an Associate of Occupational Studies in Computer Systems Technology. He was a Procurement Manager for DiaPac, LLC and prior to that a Subcontract Administrator at KBR where he spent several years dedicating his career to helping others through his spirit of excellence.

Outside of work, Rudy had a passion for building and fixing computers, repairing cars, gathering with family and friends, selling his family’s mountain coffee, Café De Carlo, and loved making stuffed jalapeños. Whether it was catching a football game, attending church service at the Hand of God Ministry, or spending time with the family dog Moony, Rudy found joy and purpose in his life.  Rudy was known for his sense of humor, love for dogs, love of music, voice impressions, intellect, generosity, kindness, goodness, positivity, and loyalty. He was a wonderful son, brother, and friend. His memory will be cherished by his family, and his influence will continue to guide and comfort them in their lives. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his parents Carlos Alonso Amaya & Ana Deysi Amaya, sister Ana Stone, brother-in-law Shaun Lanford Stone, niece Anastasia Rebekah Pink Stone, and sister Norma Erica Amaya. He was preceded in death by his twin brother Alexander Amaya. The Amaya and Stone family are so grateful for all the support given during this time.
